Poster Art: Artwork Registration & Gallery Opening!


Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that we have a cool gallery event coming up! Register your artwork starting November 2nd!


Poster Art: Art inspired music, special events etc.

*Create and submit posters of any kind. Concert posters, gig posters, flyers, creative use of typography etc.
Artwork Registration:
November 2: Monday 10:00am- 4:00pm
November 3: Tuesday 10:00am- 7:00pm
November 4: Wednesday 10:00am- 4:00pm
Opening Reception:
November 12: Thursday 6:00pm- 8:00pm
End Date: February 8: Monday

Eligibility:
The Duxbury Art Association is calling all artists, printers, and graphic designers to submit two-dimensional artwork in any media for an upcoming exhibition entitled:
Poster Art.
Submit posters of any kind: concert posters, gig posters, flyers, creative use of typography, and broad sides.
To be considered for exhibition, original two-dimensional must be submitted. Entry is open to everyone. DAA membership is not required. Work must have been completed within the last five years and not previously exhibited in a DAA Show.


Works will be push pinned to the gallery space and need NOT be framed. Works submitted must include the following information on a separate single page: (download pdf)

  • Primary contact: Artist/Designer Name
  • Phone:
  • Address:
  • Email:
  • Company website: (if applicable)
  • Title:
  • Medium (details about how the piece was created):
  • Value: (if the piece is not for sale)
  • Price: (if the piece is for sale)

Mail to the DAA or hand deliver by November 4.
Work should be mailed/delivered in a tube or flat to prevent damage.

Should the number of entries exceed our gallery space; artists will be notified of their status by phone or e-mail by end of day, Friday, November 6th.


Accepted artwork can be picked up at the conclusion of the exhibition beginning February 8th. The DAA can return work only of return postage is supplied.


Fee & Sales:
A non-refundable entry fee of $5 per piece for current DAA members and $15 per piece for non-DAA members will be charged. Membership can be updated at the time of registration. Artwork need not be listed for sale; however, if a selling price is listed on the registration form, the Duxbury Art Association retains a 40% commission on all artwork sold in the Bengtz and Cutler Galleries.

Liability:
All due care will be exercised in handling the works submitted. The DAA will not be responsible for damaged, lost or stolen items. The Duxbury Art Association will not be responsible for work left after the pick-up date(s). Artwork left over 30 days will become the property of the Duxbury Art Association.
